LATEST TECH NEWS

The tech industry moves at such a rapid pace that new developments are constantly being created and marketed to keep up with consumer demand. Whether it’s apps, hardware, or even old standbys like software and operating systems, there’s always something new to learn about in the tech world. If you’re interested in staying up-to-date on the latest and greatest in technology, here are some areas to focus on.

GOOGLE PASSWORD LESS LOGIN

Well, we've got good news. The most secure passwordless login systems are easy to
implement and take just minutes to set up. And unlike regular logins, which only verify a user's credentials at a single website, passwordless logins let you add an extra layer of security across every site on which you use your same email address—and even some apps. (For instance, if you have Facebook on your phone as well as your computer, it can autofill login credentials for both once it recognizes them.) Passwordless logins don't get rid of passwords altogether, says Hess.

DRONE DELIVERY

According to Intel, one of the biggest tech
companies out there, drone delivery will be a reality within five years. This means that not only will consumers be able to get packages delivered right to their doorsteps more quickly than ever before but also small businesses like restaurants could use them for last-minute deliveries.

ROBOT CHEF

In South Korea, researchers have created a
robot chef that can whip up meals that humans actually enjoy eating. The robot uses a unique taste algorithm which takes into account factors like a dish's fat content, calories, and nutritional value—meaning no more diet food. The device is still years away from being available for consumers but we can only hope that it arrives before our current pace of automation starts killing jobs. According to a recent report by PricewaterhouseCoopers, 39 percent of all US jobs are at risk of automation by 2030. That’s less than 18 years away!

TWITTER MIGHT CHARGE A FEE

Elon Musk, Twitter's future owner has said
that the social media platform will forever remain free for general users but it could charge some fee from business and government users. Musk has previously also said that he wants Twitter to move away from advertisement revenue to subscription-based interview.

SAMSUNG UFS 4.0 LAUNCH

What Is UFS 4.0?

UFS 4.0 is the next generation of UFS technology. This brand-new UFS 4.0 storage standard arrives two years after it was announced by Samsung and promises double the performance of its predecessor.

Samsung has developed the industry's highest performing Universal Flash Storage (UFS) 4.0 storage solution, which has received JEDEC® board of director approval. What is UFS 4.0, and what does it mean for the future of storage? Read on to learn more. pic.twitter.com/4Wxdu0J2PD — Samsung Semiconductor (@SamsungDSGlobal) May 3, 2022
Using its seventh generation V-NAND flash memory technology and its in-house proprietary controller, Samsung designed UFS 4.0. It also incorporated the UniPro 2.0 transport layer (which connects components to the chipset to transfer data) and the MIPI M-PHY v5.0 physical layer.

That's complex, so let's break it down. NAND flash memory is a storage technology that can retain data without electricity. V-NAND is an enhancement over NAND technology because the cell planes within are stacked vertically. This leads to improved speed, increased longevity, and decreased power consumption. Samsung has incorporated this technology into UFS 4.0, though the precise proprietary controller it's using is unknown.

5G ROLLOUT IN INDIA

With the talks and discussions on high
regarding the 5G service roll-out in India, experts are raising concerns over the deadline for launching, installation process hurdles, lengthy permission procedures, and many more issues. As India has experienced the challenges of using Microwave/ Millimetre Wave Radio technology as a backhaul for the 4G roll-out, the world is looking at how this biggest democratic nation will take its mobile user community to the next generation of communication. Ahmedabad based Nav Wireless Technologies Pvt Ltd, the only registered company in India doing research & developing products in the field of LiFi (Light Fidelity), has come forward to showcase the most feasible and practical solution for the 5G service launch across the country at the same time possibilities through Optical Wireless Communication (OWC).

Launching 5G services will be a mammoth and most challenging task for India. To provide high-speed voice & data and faster internet connectivity in every nook and corner of the country, more mobile towers need to be set up, which will require more space. An abundant amount of digging will be required to lay down fibre optic cables for mobile tower backhaul connectivity for the installation process. The utmost challenge will be to obtain Right of Way (RoW) permissions for laying cables, road cutting permissions for laying pipelines, etc., along with the road networks in every state. Installing 5G towers or laying optical fibre cables in areas like forests, densely populated cities, highways, metro stations, and high-security zones would be an even more difficult job. The amount of time required for RoW and the cost needed to develop active and passive infrastructure would be a complex and cumbersome job.
